We went for a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. One of the best I’ve had on the peninsula. The service was great! Definitely making Randy’s one of my local favorites.

5 enthusiastic stars for quality, consistency, prices. Years since I've been there and was not at all disappointed upon my return. It happened to be Friday so I was oh so ready for the Calamari special. In line listening to others it seems this sandwich is well known with folks lining up all talking calamari and hoping it wouldn't run out before getting to the counter. Inside it doesn't look like anything has changed since I first wandered into this neighborhood place. Like a dive bar for sandwiches. Prices and portions are kinda ridiculous for this day and age, especially on Monterey peninsula. $9 calamari sandwich is thick steak meat like abalone. Lettuce tomato and tartar round it out on the same soft seedy bun I remember. So glad to have made it back and am already thinking about next time. That turkey club.... Drool with the bacon. Seriously. But don't tell anyone any of this cause I don't want to have to wait in a longer line next time ;-)

My aunt and uncle own this spot, and let me tell you they didn’t just open a sandwich shop, they opened a hug in food form. The sandwiches are stacked, the flavors hit just right, and everything feels like it was made by people who genuinely care (because, well, they do). It’s the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and lowkey wondering if you can be adopted into the family. Monterey, you’re lucky. Real lucky.

Hole in the wall and out if the way sandwich shop. Small place with only fridges and a counter inside. Only one bench outside to sit. Menu is small but features classics as well as specials. I choose one of the David’s Special which tasted like a meatball sub but with sliced beef. They have assorted chips and drinks as well. Food came out quick, but lacked flavor and quality. I wish the bread came toasted.

Yep, ask the locals, they all know Randy’s place, that’s what I did and wasn’t disappointed. It’s just a tiny little place that has great sandwiches and excellent prices. I was pleasantly surprise to get a “real” NY style pile of meat made perfectly. Grab a bag of chips a drink order your sandwich and then move along... next person please, that’s their style. I dropped a pin on this place... I’ll def be back
